Reviews and Ratings
Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight. The rooms, named after New Zealand birds, were spacious, beautifully decorated, and came with delightful daily chocolate treats. The service was top-notch, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff who made us feel like part of the family. The location was excellent, right in the heart of the Art Deco district and within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The dining experience was superb, especially the delicious breakfast options. Overall, a fantastic stay with great value for money.
Staying at the hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were impeccable, quiet, and comfortable, with a lovely view of the church. The service was exceptional, with staff members like Alistair going above and beyond to assist with any needs. The location was perfect, offering easy access to the city center and great cafes. The dining options were wonderful, with a top standard of food quality. The facilities provided added to the overall value of the stay.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although a bit dusty outside the window. The on-suite bathroom with a full-size free-standing bath was perfect for a long relaxing soak. The service was top-notch, with staff always available and incredibly friendly, making us feel like part of the family. The location, in the center of the Art Deco district and close to the beach, was just ideal for exploring. While the details could have been paid more attention to, the overall experience was fantastic.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were lovely and in keeping with the period style, but I was given a handicapped unit which didn't quite suit my needs. The service was exceptional with friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the location was superb right in the center of Napier. The dining options were fantastic, but the room could have been more traditional. Overall, a good value for money stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel rooms were very comfortable and even had a complimentary port stocked with freshly baked cupcakes, truly delivering on the classic styled accommodation you'd expect. The service was exceptional, with the staff being super helpful from booking until check-out, even going the extra mile with special touches like piping 'Happy Anniversary' in chocolate on our dessert. The location was perfect, close to the town center and seafront, providing a great base for exploration. The dining experience was very good, finishing off our amazing overnight stay perfectly. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the positive side, it was conveniently located near the Art Deco Trust for guided walks and the shopping area, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, the room I received was different from what I booked, and it was of poor quality. The view from the window was nice, and the room had good lighting.
